DIGITAL TRACKING BEACONS PROTOCOL

2. CLASSIFICATION OF TRACKING BEACONS

Not all beacons are created equal. Below is the classification of beacons we deploy:

3. SPECIFIC BEACONS IN USE

Shopify Essential Beacons: _session_id, _shopify_country, cart_currency. These are vital for the checkout sequence.
Analytics Beacons: _ga, _gid(Google Analytics). These help us understand which gear pages are most valuable to Operators.
Marketing Beacons: _fbp(Facebook Pixel), IDE(Google Ads). These help us find new recruits (customers) interested in tactical readiness.
Third-Party Embedded Beacons: If you view embedded content (e.g., YouTube training videos, Instagram tactical feeds), those platforms may drop their own beacons. We recommend reviewing their respective protocols.

4. MANAGING YOUR BEACON SETTINGS

You are in command of your digital footprint. You have two primary methods to manage Tracking Beacons:

A. Our Mission Control Panel (Recommended)

Click the Cookie Settings link in our website footer to open the control panel. Here you can toggle Performance and Targeting Beacons on or off without affecting site functionality.

B. Browser-Level Blockade

Modify your browser settings to block all cookies or notify you when a beacon is deployed. Note: Activating a total blockade will prevent access to secure areas like your account dashboard and checkout.

5. DATA RETENTION & DELETION

Retention: Beacon data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the objectives outlined in Section 2.
Deletion: You may manually delete Tracking Beacons via your browser's "Clear Browsing Data" function at any time. However, this will erase your saved preferences and cart contents.

6. CCPA & GDPR COMPLIANCE NOTES

Do Not Sell My Personal Information: Under CCPA, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of personal data. Since we use Targeting Beacons for advertising, clicking Your Privacy Choices in the footer signals your opt-out preference.
Consent: Under GDPR, we do not deploy non-essential beacons without your explicit consent (granted via the pop-up banner on your first visit). You may withdraw this consent at any time via the Mission Control Panel.
